New Delhi. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra of the Gandhi family has been elected MP from Wayanad, Kerala on Congress ticket. He won the Wayanad parliamentary by-election by defeating Left party candidate Satyan Mokeri by 410931 votes. Priyanka Gandhi got 622338 votes. The winter session of Parliament is going to start from tomorrow i.e. 25th November. Obviously, in this session Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be seen and heard as an MP in the Lok Sabha. Now the question is, how much chance are Congress and opposition parties going to give to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Parliament?
The reason for this question is that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has reached the Lok Sabha as an MP for the first time. His brother Rahul Gandhi is the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha and till now Rahul has been carrying the responsibility of attacking the Modi government on behalf of the Congress and the opposition. Apart from this, there are other senior members of Congress and opposition MPs in the Lok Sabha. Among them are Akhilesh Yadav of Congress’s ally SP in UP and his wife Dimple Yadav. How much opportunity is given to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to attack the Modi government in the presence of senior MPs of Congress and Opposition, this will be revealed only in the winter session of Parliament.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has never contested an election before. She definitely kept campaigning for her mother Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in Rae Bareli and Amethi. Priyanka Gandhi has increased her activity in politics for some time now.
