New Delhi. More incidents of stubble burning are happening in Punjab than in Haryana. This data has been given by the Commission for Air Quality Management i.e. CAQM in the Supreme Court. The special thing is that pollution is continuously increasing in Delhi. Recently, Delhi CM Atishi had alleged that due to incidents of stubble burning in Haryana and UP, pollution has increased in the country’s capital. Whereas, in terms of statistics, this year also more stubble is being burnt in Punjab than Haryana. At the same time, if we look at the statistics, there were 1764 cases of stubble burning in Punjab in 2023 and 3114 cases in 2022. Whereas, in Haryana there were 689 incidents of stubble burning in 2023 and 771 incidents in 2022. Now listen to what Delhi Minister Gopal Rai has said on pollution.

Every year before the onset of winter, pollution increases in and around Delhi. Same thing is happening this time also. The polluted air in Delhi is at dangerous levels. There is a blanket of smoke in Delhi day and night. Hearing in this matter is also going on in the Supreme Court. Before this hearing, CAQM has given an affidavit in the Supreme Court stating how many incidents of stubble burning have taken place in Punjab and Haryana this year. CAQM’s affidavit states that from September 15 to October 17, 2024, 1289 cases of stubble burning were reported in Punjab. At the same time, half of this number of 601 incidents of stubble burning have taken place in Haryana. CAQM has said in the affidavit that the Punjab and Haryana governments have failed to stop stubble burning. The commission has also given notice to the officers of both the states in this regard.
Let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is in power in both Delhi and Punjab. Every year many incidents of stubble burning take place in Punjab, but every year the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi blames the neighboring BJP ruled states of Haryana and UP. This has happened this time also. This time, when Delhi CM Atishi said about Haryana and UP that stubble burning is causing pollution in the capital, then Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini had hit back and said that the Aam Aadmi Party should be punished for lying and committing its mistakes. There is a habit of blaming others for.
