The Punjab Police said that it has busted the terrorist module of Pakistan -backed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and arrested six of its members involved in an attempt to attack a grenade outside the liquor shop in Batala.
Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that the module was being operated by Maninder Billa and Mannu Agwan at the behest of terrorists Harvinder Singh Rinda.
On May 17, some motorcycle riders thrown grenades outside a liquor shop in Batala’s ‘Focal Point’ area. However, it could not burst. After the incident, the police registered a case against Mannu Agwan.
Yadav said that the police arrested Jatin Kumar alias Rohan, Barinder Singh alias Sajan, Abraham alias Rohit and Sunil Kumar in the case. He told that all of them are originally residents of Shukrapura.
Yadav said that apart from this, Rahul has also been arrested by Rahul Christ and Sohit who is a resident of Batala.
