Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi on Saturday alleged that the 2024 Maharashtra assembly election was “Blooprint of Dhandhali in democracy”. He said that this “match fixing” will now be repeated in Bihar as well and then the same will be done in those places where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be losing.
He emphasized that “match fix” elections are poison for democracy. He said that the party who cheats may win, but it weakens democratic institutions and the results of the public are lost.
Posting on the social media forum ‘X’, Gandhi alleged that the alleged irregularities in the election have been stunned in a phased manner about how fake voters were added to the voter list, voting percentage was shown to be exaggerated, fake votes were held and later evidence was hidden.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reversed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘match -fixing’ comment on Saturday, alleging that he was attacking democratic institutions to reduce people’s trust in the electoral process.
The ruling party at the Center claimed that Rahul is doing this to stop his party’s defeat in the upcoming elections, as he cannot get the support of the public.
Rahul Gandhi had renewed the ruling BJP, alleging that the 2024 Maharashtra assembly election is “the blueprint of rigging in democracy”. He also claimed that Maharashtra’s “match fixing” will now be further in Bihar and where the BJP is losing.
Reversing Rahul Gandhi, BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari alleged that the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha is attacking democratic institutions under a well -planned conspiracy as he knows that his party is going to lose in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
Bhandari alleged that Rahul is trying to weaken people’s confidence in the election process, as he is unable to gain public support in favor of his party. He called the Congress leader “anti -democracy”.
Reacting to the Congress leader’s charge, the BJP spokesperson said in a post released on the social media forum ‘X’, “Rahul Gandhi knows that he is losing in Bihar and as usual he has resorted to a well -planned conspiracy: attacking democratic institutions to stop his defeat.”
He alleged, “He is now trying to weaken people’s faith in the election process after he failed to win the trust of the people.” Bhandari alleged, “Rahul Gandhi is anti -democracy.”
BJP’s IT department chief Amit Malviya criticized Rahul Gandhi’s allegations, saying that he was deliberately trying to sow the seeds of doubt and dissatisfaction in the voters’ mind about the election process.
Malaviya wrote on ‘X’, “It is not that Rahul Gandhi does not understand how the electoral process works.” He understands it very well. But their goal is not clarity; It is anarchy. The efforts being made to sow the seeds of doubt and confusion in the minds of voters regarding our institutional procedures are well-planned.
The BJP leader underlined that when the Congress wins the election, whether it is Telangana or Karnataka, the same system is praised by saying “fair and just”.
Malaviya said, “But when they lose – from Haryana to Maharashtra – then the discussion of crying and conspiracy begins.” He said, “This is the strategy of George Soros directly – weakening people’s trust in their own institutions in a planned manner, so that they can be taken away from within.”
Malaviya said, “India’s democracy is strong. Its institutions are strong. And the Indian voter is intelligent. There will be no change in any kind of rigging. ”

Gandhi shared the picture of the articles published in ‘Dainik Jagran’ and ‘The Indian Express’ newspaper, “The whole game of theft of election! In 2024, Maharashtra Assembly Election was a blueprint for rigging in democracy. ”

Bhandari said on Rahul’s allegation that the increase in the number of voters between Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Maharashtra is a regular administrative trend, not a conspiracy. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi is “spreading lies” to question the general democratic process.
Bhandari termed Gandhi’s claims as “inconsistent and well -planned”, saying that the Congress leader had claimed on January 19 that one crore fake voters were added, then on February 3, he changed the figure to 70 lakhs and reduced it to 39 lakhs on February 7.
Bhandari questioned, “One percent of the Congress candidates also did not formally file a complaint using Form 17C – which is a legal way to challenge EVM data.” If the Congress really believed that the results were rigged, then why did its candidates not contact the District Magistrate with Form 17C data? ”
He claimed, “Because it is not a matter of evidence, it is a matter of fighting.”
