The Supreme Court on Friday heard the petition of Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha in the Veera Savarkar defamation case. The Supreme Court criticized Rahul Gandhi during the hearing and also advised him to avoid the future irresponsible statement. Now the statement of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has come out on the rebuke by Rahul Gandhi by the Supreme Court. Fadnavis has said that the Supreme Court has killed Rahul Gandhi.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said- “I express a lot of gratitude to the Supreme Court for the way the Supreme Court has slapped Rahul Gandhi, who has insulted Swatantraveer Savarkar. For this, I express a lot of gratitude to the Supreme Court. Rahul Gandhi constantly insults the revolutionaries. The language that Rahul Gandhi has used the country is hurt by the country. Hopefully, the red constitution will be followed by the red constitution.
What did the Supreme Court say?
A bench of Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice Manmohan, while hearing the case, warned Rahul Gandhi that he cannot make such a statement without understanding the history of freedom fighters. The court said that if Rahul Gandhi again makes such a statement, we will hear automatically with cognizance. The Supreme Court said that Mahatma Gandhi himself honored Savarkar. At the same time, his grandmother Indira Gandhi wrote a letter to him.

In fact, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made a statement against freedom fighter VD Savarkar during a rally in Akola district of Maharashtra in 2022. After this, a lawyer by profession Nripendra Pandey lodged a complaint against Rahul Gandhi. In this case, the Allahabad High Court refused to cancel the summons issued against Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi moved the Supreme Court against this decision. The Supreme Court stayed the order of the Allahabad High Court. The court has also issued a notice to the complainant Nripendra Pandey and the Uttar Pradesh government seeking answers.
