Indian Railways has announced a new facility for passengers traveling on RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) tickets. Under this new facility, passengers with RAC tickets will now be provided a complete bed roll kit in AC coaches. According to the earlier rules, passengers traveling on RAC tickets used to get only a part of the facilities, but now the Railways has decided to improve it and provide the complete kit to the passengers.
What is RAC ticket?
RAC ticket means that if a passenger’s seat is not fully confirmed, then he has to share the seat. But if another passenger’s ticket gets cancelled, then in that case he gets the entire seat. RAC passengers get half a seat during the journey, which they have to share with another passenger.
Railway’s new announcement:
Railways have recently announced that passengers with RAC tickets in AC coaches will get a full bed roll kit. Earlier, RAC passengers used to get only half the bed roll kit due to getting half the seats. But now the Railways has decided to improve this facility and provide facilities to the passengers on both sides.
What will you get in the bed roll kit?
Under the new facility, passengers with RAC tickets will now:
two sheets two blankets two pillows two towels
will be provided, which will make their journey even more convenient.
What were the earlier rules?
Earlier, passengers traveling on RAC tickets were given only one sheet, one blanket, one pillow and one towel. But now the Railways has increased it keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers.
With this new facility, passengers travelling on RAC tickets in AC coaches will get better facilities and their travel experience will become more comfortable.
