New Delhi. There is a rush for reservation in trains. People do not get confirmed tickets especially during festivals. Every year thousands of people fail to go to their homes during the festival because they do not get train tickets. Now to overcome this problem of the people, Railways has decided to make big arrangements. Quoting Railway Board Executive Director Dilip Kumar, the media has reported that Railways is going to add 10,000 new non-AC coaches in its trains by 2026. Of these new non-AC coaches, 6000 will be general and the rest will be sleeper class. Apart from this, Railways is also preparing to install 1000 general class coaches in 370 trains in November this year itself.
It has been told by the Railways that with the addition of new coaches, 8 lakh additional passengers will be able to travel every day. Railways has also said that it has added 600 general class coaches in the trains in the last 3 months. This is going to make it easier for 1 lakh passengers to travel. By 2026, installation of 4000 new sleeper class coaches in trains will solve the problem of people regarding confirmed reservation. People have been accusing the Railways that after the Corona epidemic, it has now focused on premium trains and due to this, traveling by train has become like a dream for poor people. By adding new general and sleeper class coaches in the trains by the Railways, the problems of millions of passengers will be reduced every day and those who have homes in remote areas will also be able to reach there easily.
Apart from regular trains, Railways also runs special trains every year on the occasion of festivals. However, people generally complain that special trains are very late. The main reason for this is said to be lack of tracks. Hundreds of passenger trains and goods trains run on every track every day. Due to which there is congestion and it is a big challenge to send people to their stations on time. For this, Railways is continuously working on increasing the number of tracks on routes with high passenger traffic. However, this is likely to take a lot of time.
