Railways will run many special trains for Diwali-Chhath Puja,
New Delhi: Like every year, this year too Indian Railways will run special trains for Diwali, Chhath Puja and Durga Puja. These trains will run weekly from September to November. The Railways has decided to run special trains to control the crowd during the festival. This step of the Railways will provide relief to people traveling to many states including UP-Bihar. This will also increase the chances of people getting their tickets confirmed.
List of special trains running on festivals
Santragachi Special Train Train No. 06089 will depart from Dr. MGR Chennai Central every Wednesday during September, October and November at 1:30 pm. It will reach Santragachi at 8:50 pm the next day. Train No. 06090 will return from Santragachi on Thursday at 11:40 pm and reach Dr. MGR Chennai Central three days later at 9:00 am. Santragachi Special Train Train No. 06095 will depart from Tambaram every Thursday at 1:00 pm and reach Santragachi the next evening. Train No. 06096 will depart from Santragachi on Friday at 11:50 pm and reach Tambaram at 9-45 pm. New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Special (04075/04076) will depart from Delhi every Wednesday and Sunday at 11.45 pm from October 6 to November 17. On the return journey, from October 7, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will depart for Delhi at 9.20 pm. Train number 04079/ 04080 from Old Delhi to Varanasi will depart at 7.30 pm on Monday, Thursday and Saturday of the week. From Varanasi to Old Delhi, it will depart on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday from October 25 to November 17. Anand Vihar Terminal- Ayodhya Cantt Special (04095/04096) will depart from Delhi’s Anand Vihar Railway Station for Ayodhya on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 am from October 7 to November 18. From Ayodhya, it will depart on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from October 8 to November 19 at 9 am. Darbhanga- Old Delhi Special (04067/04068) This train running from October 25 to November 15 will depart at 7 pm. From Delhi, it will depart on Tuesday and Friday. From Darbhanga, it will run from 26 October on Wednesday and Saturday at 6 pm. Anand Vihar-Jogbani Special (04043/04044) train will leave from Anand Vihar at 11.45 pm every Tuesday from 26 October. From Jogni, it will run from 31 October on Thursday at 9 am. Anand Vihar-Gorakhpur Special (04043/04044) train will run from 26 October to 16 November at 11.45 pm every Saturday.
LTT-Danapur Weekly Special Train 01009: Will depart from LTT Mumbai at 12:15 on Monday and Saturday (26.10.2024, 28.10.2024, 02.11.2024 and 04.11.2024) and reach Danapur at 7 pm the next day. In return, this train will depart from Danapur at 18:15 on Tuesday and Sunday (27.10.2024, 29.10.2024, 03.11.2024, and 05.11.2024) and reach LTT Mumbai at 23:55 the next day.
LTT-Samastipur Weekly Special Train 01043: On Thursday (31.10.2024 & 07.11.2024) this train will depart from LTT Mumbai at 12:15 hrs and reach Samastipur at 21:15 hrs. On return journey on Friday (01.11.2024 & 08.11.2024) it will depart from Samastipur at 23:20 hrs and reach LTT Mumbai at 07:40 hrs on third day.
