Yellow alert has been issued for this. Originating in the Bay of Bengal, Cyclone Dana will cross the coast on October 24. In such a situation, there may be heavy rain in the Gangetic and central areas of West Bengal, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in the northeastern states also due to cyclone Dana.
