According to the weather department’s forecast, heavy rains may occur in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha of Maharashtra, eastern parts of Rajasthan by Monday. There are chances of rain in Himalayan states, West Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch of Gujarat. A yellow alert for rain has been issued in Shimla, Mandi, Kullu, Sirmour and Solan of Himachal Pradesh. Moderate rains may also occur in some states of the Northeast including Assam, Marathwada, coastal areas of Karnataka, Kerala etc.

Due to this, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in many districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. There is an orange alert for heavy rains in 10 districts of Andhra Pradesh till Monday. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rains in many other states of the country such as Rajasthan, Gujarat etc. The Meteorological Department has also predicted rains in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Kota. Overall, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains across the country in the next few days.
