New Delhi: North India including Delhi is getting scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert to run the heatstroke in Delhi-NCR for Wednesday. According to the department, most parts of northern plains including Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab are expected to run for the next four to five days.
Mumbai is also falling in scorching heat
The IMD issued a Yellow alert for Mumbai and its neighboring districts-Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg, which warned of the hot and humid weather to remain till 10 April. Doctors have warned the residents that coming in contact with such scorching heat can cause serious problems such as mild rashes, excessive sweating, muscle cramps, and heatstroke.
Possibility of rain in Delhi after 48 hours
Meteorological Department scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar told the news agency ANI, “We have issued a warning to run in Delhi-NCR for the next two days. Light rain is likely on 11 April. Other parts of North-West India like Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh will remain in the situation of heat stroke till April 10, after which rain is expected.
Rain predicts in these states of the country
While the people of North India are troubled by the heat of the sun, the rain is being seen in South India and the Northeast. According to the Meteorological Department, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya may receive thunderstorms till April 12. During this period, strong winds can also blow at a speed of 40-50 kmph in many places. There is a possibility of hailstorm in many districts of Bihar with light rain today.
The Meteorological Department has also estimated rain in Bengaluru till 12 April. According to IMD, in the next three days, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in most parts of Odisha, which has issued a Yellow alert for many districts of the state. Raigad, Koraput Mayurbhanj and Kalahandi are expected to receive heavy rains.
