Mumbai So far, there has been a figure of thirty -six between Uddhav Thackeray and his cousin Raj Thackeray, but now the condition of both in Maharashtra is poor and perhaps that is why Raj Thackeray can forget all the differences and join hands with Uddhav Thackeray. In a podcast with film director Mahesh Manjrekar, Raj Thackeray has said that he may have political differences with Uddhav, but he is ready to be united in the interest of Maharashtra.
It was believed that Raj Thackeray would take command of Shiv Sena after him during the era of Balasaheb Thackeray. The reason for this was Raj Thackeray’s behavior, but due to Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray decided to separate and formed a new party named Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). Raj Thackeray continued to contest elections with his own and sometimes BJP, but could not make an identity like Shiv Sena. His identity was more due to rhetoric and attacks by MNS workers against North Indians. At the same time, as long as Uddhav Thackeray stayed with BJP, Shiv Sena continued to perform well in the election.
Uddhav left the BJP and formed the government with the support of Congress and Sharad Pawar, but when Eknath Shinde rebelled the name of Shiv Sena and its election symbol, arrow-and-man was captured, the situation of Uddhav Thackeray’s group was thin. As a result, when the last assembly elections were held in Maharashtra, Uddhav’s party could get only 20 seats. Whereas, under the leadership of Eknath Shinde, the Shiv Sena won 57 seats. At the same time, if we look at Raj Thackeray, his son Amit Thackeray could not win in Maharashtra assembly elections. In such a situation, Raj Thackeray may have thought that it is not possible to achieve anything in the politics of Maharashtra on his own. Uddhav Thackeray is also seeing the condition of his group. In such a situation, if both brothers come together once again, then there will be no surprise. It is just to see whether Uddhav takes Raj Thackeray along, then MNS exists or not.
