A new storm came in the politics of Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. After about 177 days, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came out of Tihar Jail. The Supreme Court granted him bail. Coming out of jail, Kejriwal said that I was right, so God supported me, the prison bars could not weaken my courage, my courage has increased a hundredfold. The Supreme Court has put strict conditions while granting bail. The apex court has told Kejriwal that he will not talk about the case related to the liquor scam. He will not be able to go to the Chief Minister’s office, will not be able to sign any government file. Now the real fight is political. The fight that was to happen in the court has happened. Now the case will go on for a long time but Kejriwal’s release will start a new battle in the political arena. Now the fight is of perception, of creating a narrative.
Kejriwal claims that the allegations of liquor scam against him are false, the case is fake, that is why he got bail from the court. BJP will remind that getting bail does not mean that the court has given him a clean chit. BJP leaders said that the court has also accepted that the CBI arrest was valid. Kejriwal’s associates are saying that BJP misused ED and CBI to harass Kejriwal but the court foiled BJP’s plans. There is another political twist in this whole case.
All the opposition parties cursed BJP on Kejriwal’s release from jail, expressed happiness too but Congress remained silent. The reason is Haryana elections. Congress is afraid that if Kejriwal tries his best in Haryana, he might cut their votes and this fear is also visible in Bhupendra Singh Hooda’s speeches in which he is seen appealing to the public that in Haryana the fight is only between BJP and Congress, so the public should not vote for any vote cutter. When Kejriwal will go to Haryana for campaigning, he will have to take Congress to task and this will increase Congress’s problems for future politics. Because whether it is Delhi or Punjab, Kejriwal came to power only by defeating Congress. (Rajat Sharma)
