New Delhi. While announcing the dates of Delhi Assembly elections, the country’s Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar openly responded to the allegations of manipulation in the voter list. CEC said that many serious allegations were made against the Election Commission including deleting names of people from the voter list and slow counting of votes. Responding to this in a poetic manner, he said, ‘All questions are important, the answer is always ready, habitually keep giving written answers, even today we are face to face, who knows whether it may happen tomorrow or not, today the answer is ready. ‘

‘It doesn’t matter if they can’t agree, they have faith in my loyalty. Complaining may be their compulsion but it is our habit to listen, tolerate and resolve. ‘There is no grudge as the era of allegations and accusations continues, there is no complaint if the balloons of lies rise to the heights. They provide proof in every result but without proof they create a new world of doubt and even Hakim Luqman does not have the solution for doubt. CEC Rajeev Kumar rejected the allegations of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party about tampering with the voter list as completely baseless. He said that whatever procedure is done to remove someone’s name from the voter list is followed completely. Only after thorough verification is someone’s name removed from the voter list. He said that the voter list is updated only with the consent of political parties.

Rajiv Kumar told that if a voter has died or someone has changed the city or area and now he has started living in a new place, then an application is made through Form 7 to remove the name of such people from the voter list. . After this, field verification is done by the BLO to confirm that the reason given for removing the name of the concerned person from the voter list is correct otherwise not. Only after this verification someone’s name is removed from the voter list. If the information is not found correct then the application for removal of name from the voter list is rejected. Along with this, CEC also responded to the allegations of EVM hack.
