Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in an all -party meeting held on Thursday that at least 100 terrorists were killed in Indian attacks under ‘Operation Sindoor’ on terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir.
The Defense Minister also told the leaders that this is an ongoing operation and India will retaliate if Pakistan attacks in view of India’s targeted attack.
After the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju told reporters that the meeting was called to create extensive political consent on the issue and the leaders showed maturity and there was no debate.
According to him, the leaders also shared their concerns on national security and the issue of safety of all Indians, especially in the border areas, but giving full support to the government, he said that the nation is united in this fight against terrorism.
Reijiju said, “The whole country is united with the government and the armed forces.”
According to him, the Defense Minister said in the meeting that “We do not only do politics to form the government, but also for nation building.”
He said, “The Defense Minister said in the meeting that this is an ongoing campaign, so he cannot share technical details of Operation Sindoor launched by the Indian Armed Forces.”
According to Rijiju, this is the reason that no armed forces officers were present in an all -party meeting, as they are busy in the campaign.
He said that all the leaders spoke in one voice and showed maturity and promised to give full support to the government and armed forces. “Political leaders also congratulated the armed forces for the action taken under Operation Sindoor,” he said.
