Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Friday that Pakistan should not remain in any confusion about India’s strength. He quoted Operation Sindoor as saying that New Delhi’s strict policy to deal with the security threats is maintained. Without Pakistan’s Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, Rajnath Singh said that his recent statement, in which he mentioned nuclear weapons and compared Pakistan to “dumper truck”, reflects a “looted and hunting mentality” and is “acceptance” of Islamabad’s failures.
He said at the Economic Times World Leaders Forum, “Pakistan’s army chief deliberately or inadvertently pointed to the looted mentality, which Pakistan has been a victim since its establishment.”
Rajnath Singh stressed that along with the prosperity of India, our spirit of our defense ability and national honor will remain equally strong. “Operation vermilion has already shown our resolve power. We will not allow any confusion of India’s strength in Pakistan’s mind.”
Operation Sindoor was started on 7 May. Its goal was to target terrorist structures in Pakistan controlled areas, the response to the terrorist attack in Pahgam on 22 April, killing 26 people. After these air and ground attacks, there was a conflict between the two countries for four days, after which the two sides agreed to stop military action on 10 May.
Referring to the statement of Asim Munir, in which he called India “Mercedes” and “concrete -filled dumper truck” to Pakistan, Rajnath Singh said it is like accepting his failures. He said, “If the two countries got freedom together and one made economic development like a sports car from hard work, right policies and perspectives, while the other lagged, it is their own gift. It is not a joke, but acceptance.”
Singh also clarified that the tradition of India sees the world not as a race for power but as a path of harmony and mutual respect. “In our tradition, the scale of strength is not in the ability to command, but in the ability to care; not in the chase of narrow selfishness, but in the commitment of global good.”
Using this platform, the Defense Minister also appealed to foreign companies to invest in defense sector of India.
Overall, Rajnath Singh’s message was clear: India is strong, fully prepared for its safety and respect, and Pakistan should not confuse its strength.
