Bengaluru. Ranya Rao’s relationship with a big leader arrested for smuggling gold? In fact, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence i.e. DRI raided Ranya Rao’s apartment and recovered 2.1 crore designer jewelry. According to the English newspaper The Times of India, these jewels have been purchased from a well -known jewelery boutique in Bengaluru. The newspaper quoted sources as saying that these jewels recovered from Ranya Rao were taken after a well -known leader. Now DRI is investigating the money trail in the matter of purchasing the jewels found from Ranya Rao’s apartment.
Ranya Rao’s apartment was raided by DRI officials on Wednesday. Apart from jewelry, Rs 2 crore cash was also received from here. Earlier on Sunday, when Ranya Rao, who returned from Dubai, was stopped at Kamphegowda International Airport, a 14.2 kg gold worth Rs 12 crore was recovered from the Kannada actress. The special thing is that whenever Ranya Rao used to go to Dubai, she used to wear the same type of clothes. Also, Ranya Rao went to Dubai 30 times in the last one year. In the last 15 days, Kannada actress visited Dubai 4 times. Because of which Ranya Rao came in DRI.
DRI is currently pushing the investigation in the case of Ranya Rao. A Karnataka Police Constable has also been arrested by the DRI on charges of helping Ranya. Ranya has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by the court. It is believed that DRI will further interrogate the Kannada actress in the case of jewelry purchased in the name of the leader. Also, the possibility of ED’s entry in this case is also being expected. Ranya Rao’s father is a DGP level officer in Karnataka. According to media reports, Ranya Rao is his step daughter. Ranya Rao’s father has expressed surprise that the actress was involved in gold smuggling. He says that he has not been stained as an IPS till date.
