The government provides the facility of ration card to needy families, with the help of which they are provided food grains free of cost or at low cost. Under this scheme, crores of people are being given free grains so that they do not have to face problems due to food shortage. But there are still many people who are taking advantage of the free food grain service despite not being eligible.
Action is being taken against those taking advantage of free food grains service
Officials have informed that action is being taken against people who collect free grains. Criteria have been set by the government so that people, despite being capable, are not able to avail the service of free food grains. There are many people who have got their ration cards made on fake documents and are availing the services wrongly.
If a person has a government job or pays income tax. Have a big house or expensive car. If the annual income of a person is more than ₹200000 in village and ₹300000 in city. All such people do not have to use ration card. All these people are not eligible to avail the benefit of free grain service.
