New Delhi. The Supreme Court has given a big relief to Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia today. As per the bail conditions set by the court in the liquor policy scam case, Sisodia had to attend the police station twice a week, but now he has been exempted from it. Till now Sisodia had to appear before the investigating officer on Monday and Thursday, for which he had requested the court to grant him exemption. Now the court has accepted this application of Sisodia.
Manish Sisodia told the Supreme Court that he will continue to appear before the trial regularly. While expressing gratitude to the court, Sisodia has also reacted to the social media post. The AAP leader wrote, Heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Supreme Court, which has provided relief by removing the condition of bail. This decision not only further strengthens my faith in the judiciary, but also reflects the strength of our constitutional values. Let us tell you that ED had arrested Manish Sisodia in the money laundering case related to Delhi liquor scam. ED has arrested AAP convener and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and BRS Legislative Council member K. Kavita was also arrested. This case is being investigated by both ED and CBI. In its charge sheet, ED has described Kejriwal as the kingpin of this scam and has also named Sisodia as the main accused. ED says that the excise policy was prepared and the scam was carried out as per the instructions of Kejriwal and Sisodia, who were the heads of the Delhi government.
