The saints representing various monasteries and groups called for the establishment of the Sanatan Board in the ‘Dharma Sansad’ organized here during the Mahakumbh.
Jagadguru Vidya Bhaskar Ji Maharaj urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to abolish the place of worship (special provisions) Act and said that this law was implemented without consulting the mosques built by demolishing Hindu temples.
He said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi should abolish the place of worship by using his majority in Parliament. At that time the government passed this law without any discussion and imposed it on the country.”
He further said that the existence of all living beings depends on the conservation of Sanatan Dharma. He said, “The establishment of Sanatan Board to protect Sanatanis is the demand of the hour.”
Nimbark Peethadhishwar Shyam Sharan Devacharya, who presided over the Sanatan Dharma Parliament (Sanatan Religious Parliament), said that the board will protect Sanatan Dharma and ensure the safety of future generations.
He said, “This board is very important to prevent infiltration of outsiders in temples like Tirupati Balaji and corrupt our faith. Countries like Iran, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bhutan were culturally associated with India at one time. If we do not take action, then India can also come out of the hands of Hindus. “
ISKCON leader Gaurang Das Ji Maharaj highlighted the need for an integrated body for ‘Sanatanis’. “If organizations like CII and FICCI for industries and IMA for medicine are present, then why can’t we have such a body to protect and unite ‘Sanatanis’?”
He emphasized that all Sanatanis will have to unite under the banner of Sanatan Board for peace, security and justice.
Preacher Devkinandan Thakur linked the alleged collapse of “Sanatan Culture” with Macaulay’s education policies, which replaced the English language in place of Indian traditions. He also warned of “conspiracy” to capture India through the Waqf Board.
He said, “The land vacated by those who went to Pakistan is under the control of the Waqf Board. But what happened to the land of Hindus who came to India? Why does Pakistan not have a Hindu board?”
Thakur raised the question that when there are no such boards for minorities in Pakistan or Bangladesh, then why there is Waqf Board in India. He also claimed that temple government like Tirupati Balaji contributes Rs 500 crore annually, while the government should take initiative for Sanatan Dharma.
He said, “If the Sanatan Board is formed, each temple will have its own gaushala, gurukul and hospital and all donations will remain under Sanatan Dharma.”
Many saints and religious leaders including Chinmayananda Bapu, Mahamandaleshwar Ashutosh Nand Maharaj, Raghavacharya Ji Maharaj, Jain Sant Vivek Muni Ji Maharaj, Hanuman Garhi Mahant Raju Das and Vallabhacharya Ji Maharaj from Haridwar, who were involved in Sanatan Dharma Parliament Expressed support.
