On Monday, on the occasion of Guru Purnima, Tejashwi Yadav paid floral tributes at the Buddha statue at Siswa Kharar. He inaugurated the Buddha Purnima Festival by lighting a lamp. Addressing the meeting, Yadav told reporters, “We do not want to form government, we want to work for the development of Bihar. Bihar will progress only when the youth get employment opportunities. Poverty will end, migration will stop, sugar mills will start and industries will start.”
Tejashwi Yadav also underlined his vision for the 2025 assembly elections and appealed to the youth to bring changes. Comparing the government with an old car, Yadav said, “The government also does not allow the vehicles to run for more than 15 years because they leave the smoke, spread pollution and deteriorate on the way, causing discomfort. Until there is no change, Bihar will continue to fall.”
Earlier, during the budget session, Tejashwi Yadav strongly condemned the comments of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar about former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and described him as extremely derogatory.
In a post on X, Yadav expressed his disagreement, saying, “The repeated disrespect shown by Honorable Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar to former Chief Minister Smt. Rabri in the Assembly is highly condemnable.”
Yadav also questioned the works of the Chief Minister of Bihar and mentioned the difference between the religious significance of the state and the language used by its leader.
He said, “Bihar is the earth where Mata Sita was born and when the leader of Bihar himself uses such a rigid language towards women, what could be a greater misfortune for Bihar?” The RJD leader also highlighted the role of Rabri Devi as a symbol of women empowerment in the state.
He said, “Rabri Devi is a vibrant symbol of women empowerment in Bihar. She infuses hope, belief and enthusiasm in every woman in Bihar, assure them that not only men, but women here are also powerful to fight against injustice, handle their family and contribute to the prosperity of the entire state.”
Tejashwi Yadav strongly criticized Nitish Kumar’s behavior and described it as an insult to female power and patriarchal mindset. He said, “Such objectionable language, misconduct, rude behavior and insult by the Chief Minister are a gross insult to female power and reflects the patriarchal mindset that considers women inferior.”
