Romania’s ambassador told her experience of India through a book.
New Delhi: Romania’s Ambassador Daniela Sezonov Tane has written a book. He has named this book Twilight Chronicles. In his book he has shared his experiences in India. This book written by Romania’s Ambassador Daniela Sezonov tells about the colors, festivals and beauty of cities of India. Apart from this, this book shows India from the perspective of a foreign girl.
Launched in art gallery
Let us tell you that this book has been launched in an art gallery of Hauz Khas, Delhi. During the launch of the book, Meenakshi Lekhi, former Romania Ambassador, Professor of Jamia Millia Islamia and many diplomats living in India also participated. This book contains stories from Rishikesh to Ladakh. This book was initially written for those foreign citizens who have not come to India and want to understand India.
Photo exhibition was also organized
On this occasion, along with the launch of the book, a photo exhibition was also organized. The special thing about this photo exhibition was that all the photos shown in it were taken by Daniela and her husband Paul during their visit to India. Let us tell you that Daniela Sezonov Tane has worked in India as a junior diplomat in the nineties and in this book she has compiled her experiences of four decades. Daniela shared her experiences of Holi
At the launch of the book, Romania’s Ambassador Daniela Sezonov Tane said, ‘I saw Holi for the first time when I was going to Rishikesh. People were throwing water from buckets on each other. We booked a rickshaw from Haridwar to Rishikesh. There was an Italian young man with me, he was also a tourist. People were throwing colored water on us. When we reached Rishikesh we were awash with colour. We were painted yellow and blue. It was all a lot of fun. I hope that after reading my book, the people of India will also see the country from a new perspective. Shashi Tharoor has written in the preface of this book that India has been written from the point of view of an Indian. Full respect has been shown towards India, but it also has an outsider’s perspective.
