On September 15, Vande Bharat Express will be inaugurated from Bhagalpur station, which will make the journey from Bhagalpur to Howrah even faster and more comfortable. With the launch of this semi-high speed train, Bhagalpur will also now be included in the modern rail network.
Travel time and fare:
The journey from Bhagalpur to Howrah by Vande Bharat Express will take 6.20 hours, and on the return journey the train will reach Bhagalpur in 6 hours. Compared to other trains, this train will save an average of two and a half hours, which will make it more convenient for the passengers.
The train fare has not been decided yet but according to railway officials, the chair car fare could be between Rs 900 to Rs 1050 and executive class fare could be up to Rs 1800.
Facilities available to passengers:
Passengers will be provided with hygienic breakfast, food and Rail Neer bottles in the train. Newspapers will also be provided for reading. IRCTC crew members will be present in the train to serve the passengers.
Preparation for the program:
Preparations for the inaugural programme of Vande Bharat Express are in full swing. All responsibilities like stage, seating arrangements, children’s programme and media coverage have been divided among senior officials.
The inauguration program at Bhagalpur station will run from 10 am to 11:20 am. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train virtually. Along with this, there will be 30-minute programs at other stations as well.
Departure from Howrah side:
The train will leave Howrah at 7:45 am. Will reach Bolpur Shanti Niketan at 9:29. Rampurhat at 10:25. Dumka at 11:25. Nonihat at 11:49. Hansdiha at 12:07. Will reach Bhagalpur at 2:05.
Departure from Bhagalpur side:
The train will leave from Bhagalpur at 3:20 pm. Hansdiha at 4:40. Nonihat at 4:57. Dumka at 5:18. Rampurhat at 6:13. Bolpur Shanti Niketan at 6:51. And will reach Howrah at 9:20 pm.
This train will not only save time but will also provide premium facilities as compared to other trains. The fare can be Rs 900 to Rs 1050 for chair car and up to Rs 1800 for executive class. Passengers will also get breakfast, Rail Neer bottle and newspapers to read in this train.
This train will prove to be an excellent option for people travelling between Bhagalpur-Howrah, as it will save about two and a half hours compared to other trains and make the journey more convenient.
