Sources said that RSS had held several small meetings in Delhi.
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has performed brilliantly in the Delhi assembly elections. After the shock in the Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s performance has been tremendous in the assembly elections. There was a lot of talk about the role of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh i.e. RSS in the party’s victory in Haryana and Maharashtra assembly elections. Similarly, RSS is believed to be an important role in the party’s major victory in the Delhi assembly elections. Sangh sources said that during these elections, the RSS made every effort to make voters aware to choose a ‘effective and accountable’ government for the progress of Delhi, which helped the BJP win a stunning victory in the elections.
‘Thousands of meetings held in different areas of Delhi’
Amidst the vigorous election campaign of political parties, the Sangh volunteers silently launched ‘voter awareness’ campaign, under which ‘thousands of meetings’ were held in Delhi. In these small meetings, very important issues like lack of sanitation, drinking water supply and health services as well as cleaning of air pollution and Yamuna River were discussed. Sources said that in such meetings, RSS raised the issue of not fulfilling several promises made by the AAP corruption and the party led by Arvind Kejriwal during the 10 -year rule. He said that the issue of illegal migrants settled in Delhi was also discussed in these meetings.
‘More than 500 meetings were held on Dwarka seat only’
A RSS source said, ‘At least 500′ drawing rooms’ were held in Dwarka alone. In such meetings, the Sangh volunteers only highlight and discuss issues affecting people. They do not ask them to vote for a particular party. People are made aware only about issues and motivated to vote to choose an effective and accountable government. According to sources, the Sangh volunteers started their campaign a month before the election. He said that many small meetings were also held in those slums and unauthorized mohallas where the AAP was quite strong.
The Sangh keeps running such voter connectivity campaign
Sources said that RSS activists also joined hands with equal ideologies and organizations in these areas to spread awareness. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is known for running such voter contact campaign as an ideological source of BJP. Following the Bharatiya Janata Party’s relatively poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections held in 2024, the Sangh launched such campaigns on Haryana and Maharashtra. In these two states, the BJP has upheld power with a huge victory in recent months.
BJP’s 27 -year ‘exile’ ended in Delhi
In Delhi too, the BJP, along with the RSS, launched a large -scale campaign. Sources insisted that RSS does not work to get credit and he believes in working from behind the curtain. In the 70 -seat assembly of Delhi, BJP has won 48 seats and thus is going to return to power here after about 27 years. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party has suffered a major setback and has been reduced to just 22 seats. The Congress has not been able to open an account for the third consecutive time in Delhi.
