The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reacted sharply to the use of the word “Sarendar” (surrender) by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP called it an insult to the Indian Army and said that terrorists Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed also did not say such a word.
BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said in the press conference, “Rahul Gandhi’s statement is not only an attack on the Prime Minister, but also a direct insult to the bravery and sacrifice of the army. He used the word ‘Sarender’ which has not even spoken terrorists declared by Pakistan, his terrorist or United Nations.”
Trivedi jokingly compared Rahul’s electoral success, saying that Rahul Gandhi described a little vote percentage as ‘success’ in the third attempt, while he seems to be ‘defeat’ for Narendra Modi to become Prime Minister for the third time.
He also said that the real face of Congress and INDI alliance has been revealed. “The name is India, but the thinking is like Pakistan,” Trivedi said tightly. He described PM Modi as a “lion of Bharat Mata.
The dispute has arisen at a time when the opposition is demanding a special session of Parliament after ‘Operation Sindoor’. The BJP accused the opposition of doing politics on the issue of national security.
