New Delhi. Pune student Rutuja Warhade has topped women candidates in the entrance examination of National Defense Academy (NDA). The NDA opened its doors for women in the year 2021. This year, more than 1.5 lakh women candidates had applied for 27 posts taken out in the Women’s category in the NDA entrance examination. Rutuja Warhade has achieved historical achievement by beating such a large number of candidates. At the same time, Rutuja Warhade has got the third place in the merit list released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), which is a matter of pride in itself.
When Rutuja made up his mind in the ninth grade itself, she would join the armed forces and serve the country. For this, preparations were started for admission to NDA from 11th class. Not only this, Rutuja also passed the computerized pilot selection system (CPSS) exam, stepping towards his goal of becoming a military pilot. The support of his teacher parents and inspiration from Rutuja is an important role behind this success. His father is a professor at an engineering college, while his mother runs a mathematics tuition classes. Rutuja also has a younger sister who is currently a Class 4 student.
Talking about this success, Rutuja says that I hoped that I would be selected among the top 10 candidates but I did not expect such a good score either. Rutuja will be the first woman to join the armed forces in her family. Rutuja, a resident of Pune, will join the new batch of cadets in June. Rutuja has started working on his fitness to complete the difficult training in future. He told that I run 3 to 3.5 kilometers daily and aims to gradually increase it to 10 kilometers. Along with this, I also do push-ups and squats.
