Mumbai Shariful Islam Shahzad, accused of attacking actor Saif Ali Khan, has taken a way to file a petition in the court to defend himself. In the petition filed in Mumbai’s Sessions Court, Shariful Islam Shahzad has claimed that the allegations against him are false. Shariful has also claimed in the petition that a conspiracy has been hatched to implicate him in the case of an attack on Saif Ali Khan. Shariful Islam Shahzad’s lawyer says that his client never committed any crime. Now Shariful will have to prove in the court what evidence he has about the claims he has made.
Shariful Islam Shahzad has been accused by the Mumbai Police that he had entered Saif Ali Khan’s house on the night of 16 January 2025. There Saif saw her in the washroom and tried to catch her. It is alleged that Shariful Islam Shahzad attacked Saif Ali Khan with a knife. A piece of knife was also broken on Saif’s back. When Saif Ali Khan became bloodless, he escaped after covering the decent bag. He was later arrested by the police from Thane. Shariful has denied that he entered the house of Saif Ali Khan and attacked there. Whereas, the Mumbai Police has also got the identification parade of Shariful Islam Shahzad.
The Mumbai Police was detected during the investigation of Shariful Islam Shahzad being a Bangladeshi citizen. During the search of Shariful, he found documents from Bangladesh. Mumbai Police says Shariful Islam secretly crossed the border and reached West Bengal. His Aadhaar card was made by giving a fake address of a person there. The Mumbai Police has also come to know about Shariful that he had also worked as a cleaning worker in a restaurant. According to the police, he also has evidence of CCTV footage and call recording against Shariful. In such a situation, the way to escape Shariful is not visible at the moment.
