New Delhi: Olympic bronze medalist Sakshi Malik has given a statement regarding Vinesh joining Congress. Sakshi also gave a statement regarding politics and Brij Bhushan. Sakshi said, ‘My fight against Brij Bhushan continues, the case is going on in the court. My stand is still the same. I have no greed for anything. Joining Congress is Vinesh’s personal decision.
BJP leaders themselves had given permission for the protest: Sakshi
Sakshi said, ‘BJP leaders themselves had given permission for the protest and we also have proof, so where is the lie in this? It is absolutely wrong to say that the protest was started because they wanted to join the Congress. I am happy that I am working for Railways, Sports, I have no greed for any post nor do I have any greed for politics.
It is noteworthy that wrestler Sakshi Malik has said many big things in her recently released book ‘Witness’. In this book, he has also written about the struggles of his career and the wrestlers’ movement. Sakshi Malik has alleged that people close to Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat had started instilling greed in her mind. Now Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat have also responded to this statement of Sakshi Malik.
Sakshi Malik has said in her book that when people close to Bajrang and Vinesh started filling their minds with greed, their protests began to crack. Sakshi further said that Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia’s decision to opt out of the Asian Games trials last year affected the image of her protest against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh as it made the campaign look selfish. Due to this, many supporters started thinking that we are doing this protest for our own selfishness. However, Sakshi did not reveal the names of the people who influenced Bajrang and Vinesh.
