Salary and pension crisis continues in Himachal: Salary and pension crisis continues in Himachal, government has a debt of 94 thousand crores, BJP targets CM Sukhu

New Delhi. In Himachal Pradesh, the salaries of government employees and pensions of retired people have not reached their accounts even today. The state government neither has money nor an answer to pay about 2 lakh government employees and about 1.5 lakh pensioners. The Congress government of Himachal has a debt of 94,992.2 thousand crores. According to Zee News, this is the figure for the year 2023-24. In such a situation, now the big question is how will Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu take the state out of the economic crisis? At the same time, the BJP targeted the Sukhu government on this matter and instructed to take steps to stop wasteful expenditure.

Former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that the state has the highest number of employees in proportion to the population as compared to any other state. Today is the 4th but the employees have not received their salary, have not received their pension. The economic condition of the state is going through a very bad phase. A large part of the provisions made in our budget, about 39-40 percent i.e. Rs 2000 crore every month is due to government employees and pensioners. In such a situation, the government has very few resources.

Thakur said that the way the Chief Minister is constantly increasing the prices of diesel, cement, ration, bus fares and taxes on taxis, I think the burden of this will fall on the poor people, which should not happen. The government needs to take steps to stop wasteful expenditure to increase revenue. Let us tell you that for the economic crisis, questions are also being raised on whether the economic burden increased due to the government’s free schemes, which led to such a situation.
