Congress leader and former Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid has targeted those who are questioning political loyalty during the ongoing mission against terrorism. He posted on X (East Twitter) on Monday, saying, “When we are on a mission against terrorism, the message of India is conveying to the world, it is sad that people at home are calculating political loyalty. Is it so difficult to be a patriot?”
Salman Khurshid is currently part of an all -party delegation led by JD (U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, who is visiting Asian countries under ‘Operation Sindoor’. This delegation includes BJP, Trinamool Congress, CPI -M and Congress leaders.
Khurshid said that when they are trying to do something for the country, it is being asked by the people what they are doing in the delegation with BJP leaders. He said, “We are doing what is necessary for the country. Today there is a need to speak in favor of the nation in one voice.”
The Congress party, however, has expressed displeasure over this delegation. The party says that the central government ignored the names suggested by the Congress for the delegation.
A few days ago, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh raised controversy saying: “Our MPs are roaming and terrorists are also roaming.”
Salman Khurshid’s latest statement has renovated the debate within and outside the party whether the issues of national interest cannot be united and united.
