Be careful. Now the Muslim side is going to approach Allahabad High Court in the controversial Jama Masjid case located in Sambhal, UP. A petition will be filed in the Allahabad High Court today on behalf of the Jama Masjid Committee. The Supreme Court, while hearing the application of the Arrangement Committee of Jama Masjid, had said that they should go to Allahabad High Court for hearing the matter. The Supreme Court had stayed the hearing in the Sambhal Jama Masjid case in the Sambhal Court until an order is received from the Allahabad High Court. At the same time, Court Commissioner Ramesh Singh Raghav, appointed by the Civil Judge Senior Division of Sambhal, is also preparing to present the survey report of Jama Masjid in a sealed envelope in the court this week.
The Hindu side says that where Jama Masjid is, there used to be Shri Harihar Temple. The Hindu side claims that after demolishing Shri Harihar Temple, a general of Mughal Emperor Babar built Jama Masjid there. Hindus also say that there is a well in the Jama Masjid complex. Where earlier he kept doing puja etc., but under the influence of the local SP MP, the puja was stopped. At the same time, the Muslim side says that there was no temple in Sambhal where Jama Masjid is. Citing the Places of Worship Act, the Muslim side argued in the Supreme Court that the Hindu side’s petition is not worthy of hearing. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the Supreme Court asked the Muslim side to file a petition in the Allahabad High Court.
Earlier, on 19 November 2024, the Hindu side had filed a petition in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division located at Chandausi, Sambhal. The judge heard the petition the same day and appointed Ramesh Singh Raghav as the court commissioner. Civil Judge Senior Division asked the Court Commissioner for the survey of Jama Masjid of Sambhal. After this, the Court Commissioner went to Jama Masjid and conducted a survey on the evening of 19th November itself. Due to the time of evening prayers, the Court Commissioner could not conduct the complete survey that day. After this, on the morning of 24 November 2024, the Court Commissioner once again arrived for the survey of Jama Masjid of Sambhal. During the survey of Jama Masjid, a crowd of miscreants had gathered outside. The miscreants indulged in heavy stone pelting and arson. The miscreants also fired with foreign made cartridges. In which 4 people lost their lives.
