Now newspaper Dainik Jagran has reported that Court Commissioner Ramesh Singh Raghav can file the report of the survey of Jama Masjid of Sambhal on Monday. The court commissioner had asked for 10 days’ time from the court to file the survey report. Regarding the Jama Masjid of Sambhal, the Hindu side claims that earlier there was a Shri Harihar temple there. Which was demolished during the time of Babar and Jama Masjid was built.
On behalf of the Hindu side, lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain had filed a petition in the Sambhal court claiming that Shri Harihar Temple was earlier located at the place of Jama Masjid. He had also demanded a survey of Jama Masjid. The petition was filed on November 19 and after hearing it on the same day, Senior Judge Civil Division ordered a survey from the Court Commissioner. After the court order, on the evening of 19 November, Court Commissioner Ramesh Singh Raghav and others had reached Jama Masjid in Sambhal and got videography and photography done there. After this, the Court Commissioner again went to Jama Masjid on the morning of 24th November. During that time there was violence outside the mosque.
According to Sambhal police, a crowd suddenly gathered outside Jama Masjid and started pelting stones. 5 people lost their lives in the violence. Sambhal police have also recovered cartridge shells made in Pakistan and America from the spot. In the Sambhal violence case, the police have identified 400 miscreants through CCTV footage. Till now, Sambhal Police has arrested all the miscreants including 3 women. At the same time, the opposition and Muslim leaders and religious leaders are continuously alleging that such an environment is being deliberately created so that communal violence can erupt.
