Sambhal police officer got a clean chit regarding the statement related to Holi and Zuma

Police has given a clean chit to Sambhal police officer Anuj Chaudhary about the controversial statement related to Holi and Zuma (Friday). A senior official gave this information on Saturday. A senior Sambhal police officer told a news agency, “Police officer Anuj Chaudhary has been given a clean chit (for a statement related to Holi and Zuma).”

The officer refused to say more about this. In March this year, after the complaint of former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Amitabh Thakur, an inquiry is being done on Chaudhary’s statement.

Prior to Holi, Chaudhary told reporters after the peace committee meeting, “Holi is once a festival coming once a year, while the prayers of Jumme are 52 times a year. If someone feels uncomfortable with the colors of Holi, then they should stay inside the house that day. Those who go out should work with an open mind, because the festival should be celebrated together.

He emphasized the need for strict monitoring to maintain communal harmony and law and order. He had said that peace committee meetings have been being held at various levels for a month to celebrate peacefully. Chaudhary had urged the two communities to respect each other’s sentiments and appealed to the public to avoid forcibly pouring color on those who do not want to participate in it.

He had said, “Just as Muslims eagerly wait for Eid, Hindus wait for Holi. People celebrate color by applying color, distributing sweets and sharing happiness. Similarly, people make special dishes on Eid and embrace each other to celebrate. The essence of both festivals is solidarity and mutual respect. ”
