BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Sunday accused AAP MLA Somnath Bharti of influencing the investigation in a case of land grabbing in South Delhi, although the MLA denied the charge. The AAP MLA retaliated and accused the BJP MP’s involvement in the case of land grab.
Addressing a press conference at the Delhi BJP office, Patra ran an alleged audio clip of Bharti, claiming that the AAP MLA from Malviya Nagar in exchange for bribe to dodge an accused on an investigative officer and destroy the evidence against him Pressed to do.
Patra said that on 10 November 2023, a case of land grab was registered in Jaitpur area, in which the charge sheet was also filed. He said that the accused was a close aide of the AAP MLA, who tried to save him.
Patra claimed that a video of Bharti’s meeting with Bharti’s investigating officer is also available, which the BJP would post on its social media platform. He said that the party is also considering taking legal support in this matter.
Bharti said in a post on X that while campaigning in her constituency for the Delhi elections on February 5, she came to know that her name was “dragging” in the case of BJP land grab. He insisted that he had gone to the Delhi High Court for free and received a stay order in favor of the aggrieved side.
