New Delhi. Congress leader Sandeep Dixit says that Delhi should not get the status of a full state. He said that there is Government of India in Delhi and no one can sit above the Prime Minister, you can increase or decrease the power. In an interview given to News 24 channel, when Sandeep Dixit was asked about EVMs, he gave such an answer which may make his own party Congress uncomfortable. Sandeep Dixit said, I do not believe that there is that kind of malfunction in EVMs, although he said that there is definitely a game at the booth level in elections.

Sandeep Dixit said, I have seen it firsthand, like earlier, stamps were put, 100 votes were cast, after which 25-50 votes were cast from their side. The presiding officer and others play the game together. If the officials are kept under wraps then 100 to 150 votes can be tampered at the booth. He expressed apprehension that such irregularities had taken place in the recent elections. In response to the question whether Arvind Kejriwal is corrupt, he said that I believe he is on the same side. When Ajay Maken called Kejriwal a traitor, he said that I do not believe so.

Sandeep Dixit said that Kejriwal has committed liquor scam. When he was asked whether Kejriwal did injustice to Sheila Dikshit and Congress, Sandeep replied in the affirmative. On the question of Congress supporting Arvind Kejriwal in 2013, Sandeep said, it was a wrong decision. On whether Kejriwal is PM material, Sandeep said, absolutely not. Regarding Mamata Banerjee, he said that earlier she was PM material. On who should become the face of India alliance, Sandeep said, who should be the most popular.
