The court said that the investigation should be monitored by the Joint Director.
Pradeep Mandal, Devdas Mandal and Sukant Mandal were found dead after the attack by the mob allegedly led by Sheikh in Sandakhali village.
The case was investigated by the CID of the West Bengal Police, although the families of the victims approached the Calcutta High Court demanding a CBI inquiry.
