Visa checks of 22 passengers on Umrah Yatra were found to be fake. On the night of July 21, when a passenger reached the counter with a visa at around 1 pm, the matter came to light. During the investigation of Umrah Visa, it was found that the visa number belonged to the wrong series. When all 22-visa were investigated, every visa was found on the same person’s visa number and QR code, despite the names and photos of different passengers on each visa. All these 22 passengers were given visas by a company called Al-IJMA Tours and Travels.
The same person’s visa was given to 22 people
When the visa of these passengers was scanned on the QR code on the Visa.mofa.gov.sa website for examination, only one person’s information was coming out. While the photo of different persons was pasted on each visa. After which it became clear that the visa of the same person was prepared in several copies and distributed among different passengers.
Most passengers were from rural areas
As soon as the incident was revealed, the concerned passengers were taken to Sahar police station. Investigations conducted by the police revealed that most of the passengers were from rural areas and they had no information about this fraud. Everyone gave full money to the agent and believed the entire process. The agent has been arrested after the complaint of passengers. He continues to interrogate how many more people are behind this fraud.
