Patna. Bihar assembly elections are to be held in October-November this year. Time is less left, but till now the seat -sharing of seats has not been finalized in the Opposition’s Grand Alliance. The leaders of the Grand Alliance have held a meeting four times to decide the seat sharing for the Bihar assembly elections. In Patna, a meeting of the grand alliance leaders was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Tejashwi Yadav. After which Tejashwi Yadav posted on X and described this meeting as meaningful and positive, but he has still kept silence on the seat sharing. After all, why is the seat sharing in the grand alliance of Bihar?
According to the newspaper Navbharat Times, the Congress is due to the lack of seats in the grand alliance of the opposition in Bihar. The Congress also wants more seats than last time and has identified those seats in which it will be easy to win. According to the information, the Congress wants the grand alliance to give it 90 seats in the Bihar assembly elections. Earlier, it has also been reported that the Congress has also decided candidates for 58 seats. At the same time, according to the newspaper, the Left parties involved in the Grand Alliance have also clarified their stand on the issue of seats. The Left is not in favor of reducing its quota seats. In such a situation, despite a four -round meeting, there is a three -part condition of Dhaka in the Grand Alliance.
Talking about the performance of the Congress in the Grand Alliance of Bihar, the Congress fielded candidates for 70 seats in the 2020 assembly elections, but only 19 of them reached the assembly. It is being told that this time the local leaders of the Congress have informed the party high command about the 90 assembly seats of Bihar, 50 have been kept in the ‘A’ category. That is, Congress candidates are most likely to win on these seats. Congress sources had earlier told that in the last election of Bihar Assembly, the party could not win more than 70 seats because the NDA was replaced by those seats. In such a situation, the Congress is no longer in the mood to compromise in the case of seats. This can create difficulty in selecting candidates easily for RJD and Left parties.
