Mumbai For the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the distribution of seats between Congress, Sharad Pawar’s NCP and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena-UBT alliance i.e. Mahavikas Aghadi has not been done yet. A series of meetings are going on between the three parties. A similar meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi is to be held today also. According to sources, today’s meeting is important. Because in this it will be decided whether the three parties of Mahavikas Aghadi will contest the Maharashtra Assembly elections together or will adopt separate paths. At the same time, the Congress high command held a meeting of the Central Election Committee on Monday. In which it was decided that on October 25, the party will release the list of its candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
According to media reports, there is a tussle between Congress and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena-UBT on the issue of 15 seats in Mahavikas Aghadi. These seats of Maharashtra Assembly are from Mumbai and East Vidarbha. Congress is staking its claim on these seats. At the same time, Uddhav Thackeray is also adamant on getting these 15 seats. Recently, Congress leader Naseem Khan and Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray had met Sharad Pawar. It is believed that in the meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi going to be held today, Sharad Pawar will make an agreement on seat sharing between Congress and Uddhav Thackeray. Congress General Secretary Ramesh Chennithala has also been sent to Mumbai to resolve the same issue.
According to media reports, it has been decided to give 80 seats to Sharad Pawar’s NCP faction. At the same time, there is a proposal to give 90 seats to Shiv Sena-UBT, but Uddhav Thackeray is not ready for this. At the same time, there is also a big issue regarding the CM face. Uddhav Thackeray wants Mahavikas Aghadi to contest Maharashtra elections by declaring him the CM face. At the same time, Sharad Pawar and Congress say that instead of declaring the CM face now, the CM should be decided according to the number of seats the party gets in the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
