Security Forces Given Free Hand After terrorist Attack In JK: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reached the hospital today to meet the injured workers. After this, Shashi Bhushan, one of the people killed in the attack, went to the house of Abrol and met the victim’s family members and consoled them.

After the killing of two local civilians and five migrant laborers in the terrorist attack in Gagangir in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces have now been given a free hand against the terrorists. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today reached SKIMS Hospital in Srinagar to inquire about the condition of the workers injured in the terrorist attack. Sinha said that this is an unfortunate incident. The LG said that the security forces have been given a free hand and those who have committed such acts will definitely be punished.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that senior officials of Jammu and Kashmir had reached the spot yesterday and today I have met the victims. The Lieutenant Governor visited the family of Shashi Bhushan Abrol, one of those killed in the terrorist attack, at their home and consoled the grieving family. At the same time, the Lieutenant Governor has directed Chandrakar Bharti, Principal Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Home Department, to immediately provide financial assistance to the civilian families of the victims of the terrorist attack. He has also asked the APCO Infratech company for which the workers were working to release compensation without any delay.

APCO Infratech Company will give Rs 6 lakh to the next of kin of each martyred citizen and Rs 15 lakh will be provided as immediate relief. An ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh will be provided to all the injured. The company will also provide financial assistance to the families of the citizens on roll under the Corporate Personal Accident Policy and 5 years of their gross CTC as compensation from insurance. The Lieutenant Governor said, the government and APCO Infratech Company will ensure all possible financial assistance to the family members and other assistance as required.
