Security forces removed the inhibitors from Shambhu-Ambala road, farmers announced a sit-in

The security personnel of Haryana started removing the preventive of cement on Thursday morning after the demonstrating farmers were removed from the Shambhu border which were deployed to prevent the farmers of Punjab from going to Delhi.

JCB and other machines are being taken help to remove concrete barriers from Shambhu-Ambala route on Shambhu border. This route has been closed for more than a year.

Haryana security officials had put inhibitors with the help of cement blocks, iron nails and barbed wires on the state border with Punjab to thwart every effort of farmers to move from Punjab to the capital.

The Punjab Police also resumed a campaign to remove the remaining temporary structures located towards Punjab on the Shambhu border to clean the route.

Meanwhile, the United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha announced a sit-in outside the offices of the Deputy Commissioners on Thursday to protest against the action of the Punjab Police.

The two bodies leading the farmers’ movement on Shambhu and Khanouri border on Wednesday criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Punjab for removing protesters and taking farmer leaders into custody.

The Punjab Police on Wednesday detained several farmer leaders including Saravan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallawal in Mohali when they were returning after meeting with a central delegation led by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in Chandigarh.

The police also removed the protesting farmers from Shambhu and Khanouri dharna sites. The site was blocked for more than a year due to the performance. The police also dropped the temporary structures and forums built at both these places with JCB machines.

In the seventh round of talks between the two sides in Chandigarh, the Central delegation was also represented by Consumer Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.

The discussion was mainly focused on the demand for a legal guarantee of the minimum support price (MSP) for crops.

As soon as the farmers entered Mohali after the meeting, they faced heavy innovators.

Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti (KMSC) leader Satnam Singh Pannu condemned the police action on Thursday and accused the Punjab government of taking action against the protesting farmers in connivance with the Center.

Pannu said, “It was a murder of democratic rights. Farmers wanted to go to Delhi but the Haryana government put obstructive on the streets at the behest of the Center.

He said that thousands of policemen were deployed to forcibly remove the picket from Shambhu and Khanouri border.

Pannu said, “Bhagwant Mann and BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) -led governments at the center will have to suffer its consequences.”

He said that the United Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha will protest against police action outside the offices of Deputy Commissioners in Punjab and other states.

Pannu said, “Thousands of farmers including women will take part in the dharna. We will intensify the movement with our demands. ”

KMSC leader Sukhwinder Singh condemned the police action against the farmers, saying, “The farmers did not stop the roads. The center stopped. We still want to go to Delhi today because our demands belong to the center. ”

He said, “Punjab Chief Minister Mann started police action and has shown his’ loyalty” towards the BJP government at the Center. “

Meanwhile, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallawal, who has been going on indefinite hunger strike from November 26 last year, was taken to the Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences in Jalandhar, later taken to another place.

Farmer leader Gurmaneet Singh Mangat said that Abhimanyu Kohar, Kaka Singh Kotra and Manjit Singh Rai have also been detained along with Pandher and Dallewal.

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema justified the removal of farmers from demonstration sites and said that the prolonged closure of both the highways like a lifeline for the state has been badly affected by industries and businesses.

He said, “Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is committed to the youth creation. If business and industry continue to run smoothly, they will get employment. ‘

The protesters under the leadership of United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha were camping at Shambhu (Shambhu (Shambhu-Ambala)) and Khanouri (Sangrur-Jind) border between Punjab and Haryana from February 13 last year when the protesters were prevented from traveling to Delhi.
