New Delhi. Prior to the assembly elections in Bihar, security of 6 politicians including Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav have been increased. The Home Department has also decided to increase the security of Independent MP Rajiv Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav from Purnia. Apart from these, the three other leaders whose security has been tightened included Araria MP Pradeep Kumar, MLA from Flood Assembly Gyanendra Singh Gyanu and JDU Legislative Councilor Neeraj Kumar Singh. The Home Department has written a letter to the DGP of the state and directed to increase the security of these leaders.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary will now be provided with Z Plus category security as well as ASL (Escort Security Layer). Earlier, he had the security of Z Plus category. At the same time, it has now been decided to increase the Jade category to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav to increase the safety of Y category. MP Pappu Yadav will now be provided plus category security. Similarly, Pradeep Kumar and Gyanendra Singh Gyanu will also get the safety of Y Plus. Whereas Neeraj Kumar Singh will be under the safety of Y category from now on. Recently, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary was threatened with death while questions were being raised about Tejashwi Yadav’s security.
Rabri Devi had claimed to have tried to kill Tejashwi. At the same time, Pappu Yadav was also demanding for a long time to increase his security. Due to this, in view of the electoral atmosphere, the government has decided to do security and tight of these leaders. 22 security personnel will now be deployed under the security of Tejashwi Yadav.
