A gruesome accident took place on Saturday in Jagatpur police station area of ​​Cuttack in Odisha. A ‘Mo bus’ suddenly caught fire and the sharp smoke started rising. The incident occurred near Broopa Barrage, when the bus was going to Bhubaneswar from Chaudwar. As soon as the passengers saw the flames of fire and smoke in the bus, they panicked and started trying to get out.

Passengers stuck in bus

After seeing the flames of the smoke, there was chaos among the bus passengers. They started making noise to get out of the bus, but the problem was that the doors of the bus did not open on their own, jammed. Due to this, the passengers were stuck in the bus for some time and it became difficult to leave. On hearing the voices of the passengers and seeing this scene, the people nearby ran to help. They broke the windows of the bus and took out all the passengers.

How did the bus get fire?

As soon as the information of the incident was received, the fire brigade reached the spot and the fire was controlled. However, the cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained. The administration has started investigating the case and a technical team of CRUT is also investigating the incident intensively.

Passengers were disturbed after exiting the bus windows. The concern of the passengers about the safety standards of the bus was clearly visible. At the same time, no passenger has been reported to have died in this incident so far. There was an atmosphere of chaos at the scene for a long time.
