Semi bullet train will run within Delhi from November

The 12 km long trial run of Namo Bharat RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) under the Delhi-Meerut Corridor is going to start in November 2024. This trial will be on the route from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar in Delhi. Once the trial is successful, this entire route will be opened for passengers. This will reduce the travel time to just 35 to 40 minutes.

Construction of New Ashok Nagar RRTS Station

The construction of RRTS station in New Ashok Nagar is going on at a fast pace. This station is 215 meters long and 30 meters wide. This station will also have commercial and entertainment facilities for the convenience of passengers. The work on the roof, platform and entry-exit part of the station is almost complete. Many plans are underway to make this station modern and convenient for passengers, in which better connectivity and accessibility are being taken care of.

New Features

Parking facility will be provided for more than 550 vehicles at New Ashok Nagar RRTS station. Along with this, the station will be connected to major centers of traffic, including metro stations and other public transport facilities. Apart from this, the station is being built with modern technologies, which will have all the facilities for safe and convenient travel.

Travel timings and facilities

After the trial starts on this new track, travelling between Delhi and Meerut will become much easier than before. This new track has been built parallel to the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and its main purpose is to reduce vehicular traffic. The aim of RRTS is to provide passengers with a comfortable and less time-consuming travel experience.

Parking facility for 550 vehicles

Four wheeler and two wheeler parking facility will be provided for more than 550 vehicles at this RRTS station. Along with this, the station will also be connected to other means of private and public transport, so that passengers do not face any kind of difficulty.
