Seven people, mostly spectators and a bull owner, died in Jallikattu and Manjuvirattu events held in Tamil Nadu on the day of Kaanum Pongal. Two bulls also died in separate incidents. A 30-year-old man died in a bull race ‘Eruthu Veedum Vizha’ competition held at Basthalapalli in Krishnagiri district, while a 45-year-old man died in a bull attack at Sentharapatti in Salem district, police said.
