Cold wave alert in many districts of UP

It is extremely cold in the national capital Delhi and NCR. Temperature is also continuously falling in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab. On Saturday, the minimum temperature of Delhi is expected to be 5 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is expected to be 22 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, Delhi recorded the coldest day of December in the last three years, when the minimum temperature dropped to 4.5 degrees Celsius.

Cold wave will prevail in these districts of UP

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert of cold wave for Saturday and Sunday in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. IMD said that some other districts including Basti, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Bijnor, Kushinagar, Gonda, Lakhimpur Kheri, Amroha, Moradabad, Sitapur, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Amethi, Saharanpur, Shamli, Baghpat and Meerut are included.

There will be fog in the morning and evening

Along with this, the Meteorological Department said that there will be light fog in some cities in the morning and evening in all these districts of UP. This season, there has not been such fog yet, as it starts falling in the month of December.

Alert of cold wave in many districts of Punjab

Along with Uttar Pradesh, IMD has issued a cold wave alert for 13, 14 and 15 December in some places of Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of severe cold wave in many districts of Punjab in the next few days.

Cold wave is not going on in Delhi right now

The India Meteorological Department said that no cold wave conditions were observed in Delhi on Friday. However, some cold winds are blowing. IMD attributed the sudden change in weather to variable wind directions. The Meteorological Department said, ‘The increase in minimum temperature is quite local and is due to variable wind conditions. There has been no significant change in minimum temperatures in most parts of northwest India.

The temperature will remain stable in the coming days

Minimum temperatures rose by more than 2 degrees Celsius at isolated places in northwest India, including Patiala, Karnal, Rohtak, Delhi, Sikar, Alwar and Phalodi stations. Mahesh Palawat, vice president of Skymet Meteorology, said that in the coming days the temperature will either remain stable or drop slightly, unless there is snowfall, there will be no significant change.

There will be sunshine in Delhi-NCR

He said, ‘The possibility of cold wave in Delhi and surrounding areas can be expressed only when a new western disturbance arrives. Till then, the day temperature will remain below normal, but the sky will remain clear and sunshine is expected, due to which there will be no significant increase in pollution.
