New Delhi. Pollution is continuously taking a frightening form in the country’s capital Delhi and its adjoining areas. Earlier it was being said that pollution increases in Delhi due to Diwali. Many days have passed since Diwali, but pollution in Delhi is not showing any signs of reducing. The level of pollution was seen to be very dangerous in Delhi on Thursday also. The average AQI in the country’s capital was recorded at 362. Delhi’s Jahangirpuri recorded the highest AQI level of 431. AQI 428 was recorded in Wazirpur, AQI 422 in Anand Vihar. In other areas of Delhi also, AQI i.e. air quality was recorded at 300 to 400.

Government figures show that the Central and Delhi governments spent around Rs 7000 crore in 7 years to make the Yamuna river pollution free, but only by looking at the current condition of the Yamuna river, it can be estimated what would have been achieved by spending this amount. Has been achieved. The situation is that water from 122 drains is being discharged into Yamuna river in Delhi without any treatment. The quantity of this water is about 185 MGD every day.
