Shahrukh Khan hurt during the shooting of 'King', leaves America for treatment

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was hurt during the shooting of his upcoming film King. The incident occurred during the shooting of an acute action scene at Golden Tobacco Studio in Mumbai. According to reports, Shah Rukh has suffered a muscle injury, which is not serious, but keeping in mind his health, he has left for America for treatment. Doctors have advised him to comfort a month’s rest, due to which the shooting of the film has been stopped at the moment.

‘King’ is an action thriller film, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film is scheduled to release in 2026 and will also feature Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role along with his daughter Suhana Khan. This will be Suhana’s first theater release. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukherjee, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juel and Saurabh Shukla. Shah Rukh will play an underworld don or a killer in it, while Suhana will be seen in the role of his disciple.

According to reports, Shah Rukh’s injury may be the result of stress accumulated from old stunts. A source said, “This is not a serious injury, but a muscle stretch. Shah Rukh has done many stunts over the years, which has affected his muscles.” His team took no risk and sent him to the US for better treatment. Shahrukh is now resting with his family in the UK.

The July-August schedule of shooting of ‘King’ has been canceled due to this injury. Bookings have been canceled at Film City, Golden Tobacco and YRF Studio. Now the shooting will begin in September or October 2025. Shooting in Sri Lanka has also been postponed. The film is to be shot in India and Europe, and it may be released on Gandhi Jayanti 2026.

Shah Rukh’s fans have wished him to recover soon on social media. This is not the first time Shah Rukh got hurt during the shoot. In the past, he has suffered injuries on the sets of films like ‘Dar’, ‘Coal’, ‘Shakti’, ‘Ra.One’ and ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’.
