Congress MP Shashi Tharoor recently reacted to Rahul Gandhi’s statement in which he accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “surrender” under pressure from US President Donald Trump. Tharoor said that India did not need to say to stop during the recent struggle, because as soon as Pakistan stops its actions, India will stop automatically.
Tharoor, who is leading an all -party parliamentary delegation in Washington, replied to an American journalist’s question, “As long as Pakistan continues to speak the language of terrorism, the India will answer in the language of the force of India. For this we do not need any third party mediation.
Addressing a rally in Bhopal on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi claimed that Trump called PM Modi as “Narendra, Surrender” and intervened in the Indo-Pakistan struggle during Operation Sindoor. He said, “Trump got a call and Narendra Modi ji immediately surrendered. History is a witness, this is the character of BJP-RSS, he always bows down.”
In his statement, Tharoor insisted on India’s solidarity and said that criticism and differences in democracy are natural, but India’s stand abroad is uniform. He also clarified that India took a tough stand against terrorism in Operation Sindoor, which was launched in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, killing 26 people.
Tharoor warned Pakistan that India wants peace, but if Pakistan continues to promote terrorism, India will give a befitting reply to it. He also said that his -led delegation has been successful in clarifying India’s anti -terrorism stance in countries such as Guyana, Panama, Columbia and Brazil.
Meanwhile, BJP has strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi’s statement. BJP President JP Nadda said that the success of Operation Sindoor was announced by any government spokesperson, but by senior Indian Army officials. He accused Rahul of insulting the army.
Tharoor’s statement has once again outlined the zero tolerance policy against India’s terrorism, as well as showing that despite differences in domestic politics, India is united for national interests.
