Congress Parliamentary Party President and senior leader Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Hospital in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. Sonia Gandhi, who was on a personal visit to Shimla with her daughter Priyanka Gandhi, was rushed to the hospital after a complaint of restlessness.
A senior doctor at the hospital said that Sonia Gandhi’s blood pressure was slightly higher than normal, but her condition is stable. “He has been fully medical examination and he is stable. He was brought to the hospital for routine examination due to some minor health problems,” he said. Naresh Chauhan, Chief Advisor (Media) to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, also confirmed that doctors are investigating him.
According to the information, 78 -year -old Sonia Gandhi was staying at her private residence in Chhabra, Shimla, when she felt restless in the afternoon. He was then rushed to the hospital immediately, where he was investigated including MRI. After investigation, she was discharged from the hospital and has returned to her residence.
Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, who was on a two -day visit to Una, left for Shimla after getting information about Sonia Gandhi’s health and left for Shimla. Along with this, Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil and Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena also reached the hospital.
The hospital administration has not issued any official statement about Sonia Gandhi’s health, but the security system has been tightened. According to sources, Sonia Gandhi can end her personal visit on Sunday and return to Delhi.
